Excellent Movies, Dudes! is the 21st Smash Up set. It contains 4 new factions, 8 new bases, a rulebook, and Stasis counters (instead of the usual VP tokens!)
Combined with all previous sets, there are 99 factions and 200 bases, which make 4851 possible pairs of factions.

This set made a few modifications to the rules relative to the previous rulebook in Smash Up: Disney Edition:
- Changed the rule to decide who goes first.
- Added the Stasis mechanic.
- Added the Stored Cards mechanic.

- Added subtypes to some of the actions.
- Actively calls out the need to get VP tokens/+1 power counters from other Smash Up sets starting from Awesome Level 9000. In case this set is your only one, you need some kind of proxies.
Trivia[]
- Its factions are based on iconic movies from the 80s:
- Action Heroes are based on 80s action films,
- Backtimers are based on the Back to the Future franchise,
- Extramorphs are based on tne Alien franchise,
- Wraithrustlers are based on the Ghostbusters franchise.
- This set doesn't include VP tokens/+1 power counters, and gives you stasis counters instead. If you need any VP token/+1 power counter, you need to get them from other sets, or use any kind of proxies.
